How fresh can you get? Burnt Creek Quentin at the Ekka?
This year's Ekka. Largest ever Lowline steer entries
The largest number of Lowline and Lowline cross steers ever assembled at a Royal Show lined up for this year's Ekka. Four pure-breds, nine cross-breds.
The best result was a third in the middle-weight class by Margo Hayes' Lowline/Murray Grey cross but all the animals showed well to great comments from observers.
The Lowline entry of three purebred steers for the Ken MacDonald shield was particularly noted for its uniformity and style.

An outstanding lineup of purebred Lowline steers were paraded by Phil Labrie, Georgina Stower and Tanya Falkenhagen for the Ken McDonald Shield at the Ekka.
